In keeping with our Irish heritage and strong family traditions, we chose the name ATHAIR, which is the Gaelic word for "father." Jim chose this name as a tribute to the fathers who have played such a profound and wonderful role in his life. Athair honors his late father, Jim McMahon, Sr., his stepfather, Pete Baylacq, who has been a tremendous help and guiding force, and his father-in-law, friend and wine-making partner, Tom Keith.
